Home sales in Alabaster were back up to 54 closed sales after a drop in June 2008 to 39 closed sales. This was from a previous high of 52 homes closing in both April and May of 2008. The average salesprice was $187,378 with sales ranging from $35,000 for a manufactured home plus lot (not a typical find in Alabaster), to $409,400 for a 4 bedroom, 3.5 home in the new community of Wisteria (off 119 south of the new Publix). The median price was $177,500. The average days on the market for sold properties was 79.46. Inventory continues to increase and currently there are 452 properties on the market which represents a 8.37 month supply.
