WALKER LAKE - NEVADA 7-17-2008      photo by: Robert Swetz

Yes, there are some lakes in Nevada and Walker Lake is the second biggest in the State of Nevada.

As you can see in this photo, there was no wind so it created a glass like reflection. When I took this photo there was something on the lens that I didn't see until I got home. I was not very happy because I only took six photos and they all had these spots on them. (Sorry)!

I think it's a great shot anyway, marks or no marks.

I have a vacant lot that over looks Walker lake and the view is breathtaking. I may build on it some day, maybe a small vacation home for a get away from the hustle sand bustle of Las Vegas.

I also have a lake lot in Northern Minnesota with 200 feet of shore line on Island Lake 100 miles south of Canada. I have not been to this property in over six years.

I buy Lake & River Properties for Investment, peace of mind and serenity that they offer.

If you or anyone you know is interested in Lake or River Properties, I have connections in Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington State, Utah and more. Also if you would like to read more about Lake & River Investment Properties please visit my wed site at:

Robert, Beautiful shot.  The water is so calm, it's like a mirror.  Thanks for sharing.

Love the spot where you can feed all the fish close to Vegas.  I should know the name of the lake but it escapes me at the moment.  Took lots of pictures there one day a couple of years ago.

Thanks Robert:

I will do that.  Just makes me want to jump in! Especially with our triple digit temperatures.

I have seen the numerous "Save Mono Lake" bumper stickers.

Robert, thanks for the link to your personal site. Will go check it out right now. Very lovely area and a great shot! I don't mind the dust spots at all. I can see how beautiful the place really is and that is what enjoying eye candy is all about. :-)

C - What is so nice about Walker Lake is there is rarely anyone there. You can fish, boat, and rent water bikes. This lake is a gem that's undiscovered. Location =

4 hours North of Las Vegas - 4 hours South of Reno, Lake Tahoe - 1 1/2 hours East of Yosemite.

Here is another pic!

Gita - If you eve come to Las Vegas make your and look me up. There are many places very close to Vegas that are amazing. Grand Canyon (two hours), Zion National Park (Two hours), and so much more.

Thank you for the comment!

Tanya - When your there the lake is so huge and there are no people around, it is so relaxing. I have a 1/2 acre building lot with a panoramic 170 degree view about 100 feet up away from the lake. Just sitting empty waiting to build.
