Looking for ways to improve my business

Mortgage and Lending with First Federal Mortgage

Good Morning everyone,  I awoke this morning and could not wait to get to the office and open up my aciverain account to see how many responses I received last night.  It was overwhelming how many of you out there are so nice to take the time out of your busy schedule to read and respond to my blog.  I really appreciate you doing so.

All that said, I wanted to move forward and ask if anyone has any ideas of improving our business in the market that we are in.  I had a wonderful month in July after a dry spell for the first part of the year, but now as I face the end of the month of August my pipeline is drying up again.  I have things working for the future but I am in need of prospects for now.  Any advise on how to build up and keep my pipeline full so that I do not have peaks and vallys in it would be very welcome.

You should consider hiring a business coach.  That sounds self-serving, I know, but really it's a great way to gain (or regain) your focus.  And it's an amazing tool for accountability.  I'm working with a realtor right now and he's doing MUCh better than before (and he was pretty good before) simply because he has a sounding board and someone to hold him accountable.

Considering that your business is a business, you probably don't need help with the real estate side of it.  You probably need help with lead generation ideas.  Or maybe conversion from lead to customer.  Maybe it's another area all together...but the point is you don't need a realtor or real estate coach to help you.  You could use a business coach or someone who can look at your work from an outside perspective and give you real feedback.  Look at some of my blogs (search for the one on "measure and test" for some ideas.

Best of success!

Peggy,

I know this is like your response from the Business Coach (self serving), however the power of the Internet is huge and The Real Estate Book feeds to a ton of sites for free as a paying page member. This being said, its not only a valuable selling tool to sell homes it is also a great way to list homes as you have the power to tell Mr. or Mrs. Home seller that you can have their home online with x amount of sites in 24 hours. Now that is key. Good luck in your ventures in Alabama. I dont know how this got so big, sorry.

I would keep blogging -- going to event, networking, leave your business card everywhere -- and call past clients to see how they are doing... simply cast a broad net.  One real estate agents got metal plates to put on his car to show his listings!

turtleHello! Thanks for adding me as an associate ( I just added you also!). I have all my past customers in a data base and I do mailings to them about 6-7 times per year. I always receive something from that. Give the some new info or just reintroduce yourself if you have never done it. And alway ask for referrals. E-mail me and I would be happy to send you a sample letter. Best of luck Brenda :)
