Valuable exposure with shelf life can make an impact

Title Insurance ePro, MBA

Giving out flyers, post cards or business cards have a relatively short shelf life -- we all agree with that.  Therefore, do something different!

Use this tip whether your at an open house, door knocking, at community meetings or gatherings.

Print out all your information on a large label -- your photo, logo, branding, web site address, email address, phone number etc.  Take that label and wrap it around a bottle of water and now you have a walking brochure.

Give the bottles of water out on a hot day to those that visit your open house.  Something of value and it won't get thrown away until they are done with it.

Giving out something of value is always a good idea.  What happens when they through the empty water bottle away?  How about leaving people with some statistical information that they might keep on their desk?

I don't like being thrown away - that's why I give out "nice" pens with my info on them.  I've had calls from those pens two years later!  Good idea though.

Thanks for the tip.  We attach our business cards to candy bars and hand them out at street fairs with the hope the card will be saved.

I agree that a water bottle with a personal promotion marketing message is a low cost marketing tool that can be very effective.

Good luck and success

Thks Scott for another good tip.  I realize that this will be tossed but if it's given out with a card they can keep they will hopefully remember your good will.

Another great way to promote your "shelf life" as an agent is to create labels and put them on a round box of salt - salt usually stays in kitchens for a long time.

Water is cheap and I can do the labels for next to nothing.  I like the idea of attaching a business card that they can pull off an keep if they want.  Maybe put something of value on the back of the card?  Great ideas!
