Quick and simple ways to update a room

By
Home Stager with Elegance and Style

Are you tired of looking at the same four walls?

Guess what? There are things you can do, without getting out the cans of paint or visiting the wall-paper shops.

Start by removing all the existing artwork off the walls, the curtains, bedding/or accent cushions and throws. Remove throw rugs as well.

The quickest and easiest way to revamp and liven up your living space is to replace all your soft furnishings. If budget is a concern, keep your eyes open for all the white sales that have been taking place this summer. I recently purchased King, Queen and Twin sized sheets and quilt sets for 70% off at a local department store. Throws and cushions can be bought for very reasonable prices as can panel curtains. A new cafe curtain rod with interesting-looking finials can make a room have a new flair to it.

Try to use a colour scheme that makes you feel good and that lifts your mood. Don't forget to add in a planter of fresh greenery or prepare a dried flower display that picks up on your colour scheme. Have fun!
