Francine, It is so great to truly do what you love!  I have been thinking about becoming a certified stager also.  It seems so natural to me as part of listing a home.  I try to give my sellers the tips on how to make their homes more marketable but I think without having the staging credentials I fear I could be viewed as being critical instead of constructive.  I believe that with the certification it lends the air of authority needed sometimes to have our sellers respond to our suggestions.

Question - are you only staging your own listings or are you using your staging as a tool to get listings.  How are you managing (mingling)  both careers - I would love to hear how you market yourself.

How has the response been where you are?  I have added staging as a benefit for listing with our company, but I hire someone I am not personally skilled in this area.  I will be interested to hear how the consumer responds where you are.

Best of luck to you!

Helping Clients achieve their Real Estate Dreams

Hi Nancy,

I added staging to increase my business in R.E. Most homes are staged on the West Coast before they are put on the market. The East Coast has been slower in accepting this concept. Staging is one of my niches . When I go in to a listing presentation I have the tools to help my clients have one stop shopping. I can do as little or as much as they like. As a Senior Real Estate Specialist I can prepare the homes For Sale and guide my clients through the transition of moving. It is so rewarding making the moving process as stress free as possible for my clients.I wish you good luck. As far as both careers go I have started a separate staging business with my life long friend Angela DeSimone. We also stage properties that are not are listings. It would be great for you to have a partner to do the Staging with .Good Luck. Please keep me posted on your new career. Have a great day.
