My name is Todd _____ and my wife, Michelle, and are I are Cutler clients; and I should add very satisfied Cutler clients. In May of 2008 we decided to put our home on the market and went through the process of tediously screening and interviewing realtors to represent us as we both sold and are in the process of buying a home.
Eventually we settled on an agent and signed with Tera Mucci through Cutler. Our goal was to sell our home quickly and find a house that gave us the space we needed with the amenities we currently enjoy. We were realistic because we know the housing market, like any specific area of the market these days, has suffered its hits. We told Tera we wanted to have our home sold by the end of summer as we have two children who would be starting the school year in a new school district. I know, this is probably what any client wants, that and a magic wand from their realtor with a little magic realtor dust sprinkled on their lawn to have the home sold after a showing. Well, Tera virtually did that.
Tera has that magic wand, as well as a personal touch that kept us in mind during the process. I found her approach to be most impressive. We weren't just another number to Tera. We weren't just another commission. We weren't just another listing. We felt like Tera gave us personal attention throughout the entire process.
By the middle of June we had our first open house. A couple of weeks later, we had our first offer. Our home is just 11 years old, but it is in an established neighborhood in Summit County. That didn't matter. Within a month, Tera sold our home. ONE MONTH! IN THIS MARKET! I've told friends we sold our home in a month, and they think I'm kidding or they ask skeptical questions. They're amazed to find out there was nothing skeptical behind our sale.
That's because our real estate agent was knowledgeable and understood to our needs, but was empathetic to our emotions. She walked us through the process. Spelled out the scenarios without guarantees, but nonetheless made us aware of our options.
We are currently in the process of trying to buy a short-sale home. While this concept is relatively new to the real estate market, Tera has done a great deal of research to get us up to speed on the process. So I write this letter while we're still in the process of buying a home, but with the full confidence in knowing that Tera will represent our best interests throughout the process.
I know real estate agencies have listing leaders and production leaders. These are standings that are tied to numbers and monies. I know those are important to both clients and agencies. There ought to be a way to track the intangibles during this process. I can't tell you how many times Tera was there with intelligent advice when either my wife or myself weren't enjoying this process. I can't imagine another transaction as difficult to navigate and understand than buying and selling a home, yet I can't imagine another real estate agent being as patient and interpersonal during this process. I feel like we have made a life-long friend. Our children have come to know one another and our families can consider each other friends. I don't know of another six-figure transaction where that is even possible.
I don't know where Tera ranks in the real estate "standings" that agencies use. I can tell you that she did everything in her power to bring our transaction to fruition and make the process as painless as possible ... IN THIS MARKET. To me, that is a leader in the industry. Cutler should be proud to have its reputation represented by Tera Mucci. If the business world had Tera Muccis sprinkled throughout various industries, the world would be a better place.
