Will the Public Hire Their Agent From Their Blog?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner

It seems that 10% of agents are now blogging and the public is noticing.  Below is a link to an article about this, quoting Jonathan Washburn saying that Active Rain is the way to go.  What is really great are the comments on this article.

From the women who don't use an agent who can't spell, to the consumer who hopes her agent spends more time helping her find a house than posting pictures on Facebook to the agent who eliminated an agent who was commmenting on Trulia and commented that women overreact to sexual harassment. That agent was called a piece of dung.  Not sure why an agent would post on issues like sexual harassment, but he did.

So, people are paying attention and yes you are being judged.  So if you are not a good blogger this may not be the right vehicle for you.

Would You Hire an Agent Because of their Blog????, here.

Miraim, I had not read this so thanks for sharing, some of the comments from consumers were really, really interesting. Especially the one about how we write and spell checking.

Forget about how we write and spell- I stumbled, via links to your post, onto THIS site:

A sort of "reverse-blog" possibility, if we don't make certain that we watch our p's and e's (ethics).
