Give your clients a “We’ve Moved” virtual tour

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with CPG Tours

Yesterday, I was on the phone with one of the users of CPG Tours. And in the course of our conversation, she mentioned how she is creating a “We’ve Moved” virtual tour for all her clients.

Once she creates a virtual tour of the home they bought, she then sends them a link to the tour, which in turn, they send out to all their family and friends announcing their new home, or recent move. And, of course, the tour has all the agents’ contact information and photo in it.

We see people use our tours for all kinds of creative approaches. But this is one I hadn’t noticed before, and I thought, ‘What a great way to get in front of all her client’s contacts, without having to come right out and ask for a referral.’

Anyway, I just thought it was a great marketing idea and thought I would pass it along to everyone.

I've been working with Realtors for several decades now and remember advising them, first, to do "we've moved" cards that the Postal Service used to provide. Then we moved to picture postcards, then to picture flyers, then to digital pictures, and, now, picture tours. I'm right their with you, Michael.

Hi Russel: Thanks for the comment. It's such a simple thing to do, and it just adds to the agents exposure.

Hi Norma: Let me know how it works for you. It's so easy, I don't know why we didn't think of it before.

Hi Michael,

A great idea and thought I would pass along something I use and offer my clients.  We create a Just Moved video via RealEstateShows.com - the most awesome tool ever!  This way we can not only create the show to be forwarded via email to many but we can also create a cd and it allows my clients to share with friends and family so they can join them in celebrating their new home.  It's worth checking out.

Hi Halli: Thank you for the comment. We're familiar with their product, but obviously think ours is a far better choice - for a lot of reasons. So, please feel free to check ours out as well. CPG Tours   ;)

I have taken pictures of the house my clients bought and uploaded them to shutterfly and sent them a link from there.  The buyers can then forward it to everyone they want to see it.

Good idea -- I have used the single property domain sites like that -- you can go to ListingProducerand purchase a single property domain -- a flyer / web site on the Internet to promote the home.  Once the seller has completed the transaction -- you can give the buyer the domain so they can send to their family and friend to let them know what house with photos they purchased.  Make it a profitable day!

Hi David: I'm not that familiar with Shutterfly, but can you also include all of your own contact info? Thanks for the comment.

Hi Scott: Yeah, single property web sites can work quite well. We also sell single tours, but most people opt for our 'unlimited tours' account. So, they create tours for all kinds of cool marketing ideas - without any additional cost. Thanks for stopping by.

Great idea, Michael. I can see I'm going to have to read all of your posts. We just took a photo of a house closing Thursday to make Just Moved postcards to give them at closing, but a Just Moved Virtual Tour is over the top!

So does she wait until they have moved in and take photos with their furniture in it? If it's a resale, I don't think you would want the other people's furniture. The one we just sold is new construction so it would be easier to photograph, but empty houses don't really photograph that well...

I wish you lived in FL so we could work together.

Hi Sharon: You're going to read all of my posts? Uh-oh! I need to start writing some better stuff

I'm not sure how long she's waiting, but I'm assuming it's after their initial move-in. But I thought it was a great idea, and she probably gets more marketing-miles out of that than a lot of her efforts.

I don't live in FL, but we do have photographer affiliates down there. And our tours are all across the country. So, maybe we can work together!  : )

Wow, what a great idea.  I love sharing my new home with family and friends who can't come to see it in person.

Hi Paul: I agree, I think it's very creative of the lady who gave me the idea. It's a great way to promote yourself.

Hi Joanna: I think most people are proud of their new home and want their friends and family to see it. This is just an easy way to do it.

And thank you both for your comments and compliments. : )

Hi Bekah: I know what you mean. It seems so obvious, you wonder why everyone isn't doing it. But that's part of what makes it's such a great idea. Thanks for the comment.
