Fairfield County Labor Market:
In the first part of the fourth quarter, 926 jobs were added for Fairfield County, CT. As a result of these new jobs, the average monthly unemployment rate fell from 4.1% during the third quarter of 2006 to 3.5% for October and November 2006. The strong employment climate may help to create demand for home purchases during the first part of 2007.
