In the 4th Quarter of 2006, 4,532 jobs were added to New Haven County, CT. As a result of these new jobs, the average monthly unemployment rate fell from 5.0% during the 3rd Quarter of 2006 to 4.4% for the final Quarter of 2006. The strong employment climate should help to create demand for home purchases during the first part of 2007.
