Having a Producing Website

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Premier Associates

Having a website now in our business is mandatory. Statistics show that more and more people everyday search the Internet to purchase their next home and to sell their present home. I started my own website back in 1999 and although at the beginning I didn't start seeing results, in the past 3 years the return I get off my website for the advertising dollars I put into it every year is more than 10 fold. It is a no-brainer to me.

Now I advertise my website on cable and print advertising and I also pay an Internet marketing company $250.00 per month to work on getting my website ranked higher and higher in the search engines. My website now gets thousands of unique visitors a month and is producing like I thought it would at the beginning. It also gets me a lot of clients from out of town that are planning to move to the South Florida area.

It takes so time and effort and a little patience, but having a website that produces is essential in our business.

Good Luck,

Carlos,

Congratulations on your success with your website.  I myself am a Home Loan Consultant with Countrywide Home Loans and we have templates that we must use and we can't change our websites in any way.  Do you have any suggestions for me?  We do have a funky looking URL but I purchased my own URLs.  I bought my full name: www.NimaRezvan.com and I also bought www.MyNima.com , I like www.mynima.com because it is easier and shorter to remember.  Can you email me at: Nima_Rezvan@countrywide.com

I would love to learn how to make my site more popular and learn some new skills from you.

While I am at it, let me tell you that I process Florida loans here in-house.  So I can be your go to mortgage guy from here so also let me know who you work with and maybe we can start to work together as well.  I love finding young, energetic go-getters who use technology to get ahead and I also have my old-school business partners as well.  Would love to hear from you.

Always,

Nima

That seems like a lot of money for search engine optimization.  Is part of PPC?  At one time I paid (a lot less than that) for a guru in SEO to get me found on the search engines.  I discovered over time that I was getting better generic results with my AA site than he was.

Read up on how to make your site slicker, more popular and the mechanics of what makes it tick.  Too many brokers spend big dollars for lousy sites and don't have clue one on how the game is played with search engines.  Content, links, ad word campaign...but wade right into the HTML pond and learn how to look under the hood of your web site and the source code of others to learn "so that's how they do that".  There are only 3 zillion real estate sites out there to gawk at...find the best performaning and ask questions.  You're not in their market so they brag and gloat and feel purdeee special!  You can catch a wave and head up the popularity steps...but you gotta get wet..don't expect to just hire it down.  You can do it! Start swimming with your eyes open!
