Having just sold a listing in The Park for an investor client of mine, a home purchased thru me two years ago, I noticed a change in the neighborhood that I found refreshing. The Park is located in central Lacey, Bordered on one side by woodland owned by St. Martins College on one side, and Lake Lois park on the other. (hense the name).
The Park is the next best thing to a gated community, with one vehicular entry and exit located on Carpenter Road. What this means is that non-local traffic is non-existant; a definate plus for home owners with small children. Another plus for the kids, and the whole family for that matter, is the club house and pool. This is one of the few older communities in the area with a really active HOA, and with amenities such as a pool. With homes priced in the low 200's (as of this writing), this neighborhood is a great deal.
So what did I find refreashing about the park....everything. The community has really come together and put alot of effort into improvements to the clubhouse and pool, walking trails, and just the "home" feel; a feel that I find missing in many other neighborhoods and communities.
