Is there any benefits to sponsoring local sports, does it help brand you in the community, what success has anyone had doing this?
great question..I was once told if you go down this road don't pick the varsity football team because its hard to stand out .. instead pick maybe the girls volleyball team or basketball team.. 1st they tend to be underfunded and really need the money and 2. you get more bang for the buck as less competition for "eye" time
When my boys were in school I sponsored ads in all of the publications the sports organizations of the jr and sr high had. I bought ad space in the PTA newsletter, the Baseball club and the Football program. I sponsored T-ball teams and paid for banners to be hung on baseball fences. During a 3 year period of doing this for many sports I sold over 50 homes that were a direct response from these ads. Of course I also was a parent volunteer in the school district and people could match my face with my name :)
Once you sponsored a team what is the best way to personally become visable, and did you provide promotional gifts?
I actually coach at present and somtimes I think the parents think I am not busy, have been re-thinking this, that is why I thought being a sponsor would be better?
