Tip of the Day - Renter's Insurance

If you are a renter, you should make sure to have renter's insurance. If you are a landlord, you should consider requiring your tenants to purchase renter's insurance. Why? First of all, if you are a renter, if something should happen to your personal belongings, you would be able to buy new stuff! Even if you think your stuff isn't worth anything you would be surprised at how much it would cost to replace everything at once. Depending on your coverage, you may also have some liability coverage in your policy. If you are a landlord, requiring your tenant to have renter's insurance helps avoid some issues when they expect you to insure their property...also, the liability insurance helps you as well!
