I-10 Construction In Tucson -- How To Avoid The Hassles!

Freeway construction is a beautiful thing!  When it is finished.  The headache of it though is the hassle of finding routes around the bottlenecks and construction zones as work moves along.  Especially for people visiting from out of town, who don't know about it or have no idea how to avoid it.

I've been sending my clients (and friends coming to visit!) a link to the website dedicated to monitor & update the public on the daily closures, detours and slowdowns associated with I-10 construction in Tucson.  Being stuck in a traffic jam is one thing - to find out you could have avoided it adds degrees to one's rising temperature!

Check this website from ADOT (Az Dept of Transportation) when heading to Tucson - or even if you already live here - it is well worth a few minutes:

On the I-10? yep... that's a biggie... we've been having some shutdowns on the 101 as repairs are made... it's a major work-around for those of us who rely on these major routes.

Thanks for being the first to comment, Chuck.  Even before construction started on I-10, I avoided it because it was too congested through town...it sure will be nice when it is done & opens things up!
