Real Estate Broker/Owner with Pogo Realty, LLC BROK.0005690708

As someone who frequently works and plays in the French Quarter I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone visiting for Southern Decadence. I love the diversity we have in this city and Decadence is such an important part of our economic year. Maybe I'll see some of you around. Along with Budweiser and Wood Enterprises, I'll be co-sponsoring the New Orleans Bears' Beer Bust on Thursday afternoon outside Rawhide (corner of St. Ann and Burgundy). Of course if you haven't been here before, be forewarned that you're going to fall in love with the city, and I'm here to help you find that second home, condo, investment property, or permanant relocation to the Crescent City.

I remember Southern Decadence being one of the first signs of life and normalcy Post K in '05.  Of course it wasn't anything like any other year, pretty much consisted of a shopping cart, some costuming, a smaller dog I think, and a strut of sincerity.  I remember seeing it on CNN or FOX while in exile in TX and almost crying.  Same when I saw Walter 'Wolfman' Washington play the Maple Leaf by generator.  Again on the news.

Go 'head on Southern Decadence ~

You'll be glad to know that 2007 was bigger than pre-Katrina for some of the businesses in and around the Quarter for Southern Decadence. Also, for the Wood Enterprises businesses at least, instead of simply the normal long weekend, the heavy traffic went for a full 7 days from Wed - Tue.

Here's to that strut of sincerity!
