Football is gearing up - but who has the best cheerleaders?

No doubt in my mind that the best cheerleaders in the NFL are those who cheer for the current NFC South Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers!

These fine ladies were out in force again tonight as the Bucs went down to the Jags for the fifth straight year in pre-season, but it was not all bad news on the footballing front.

And our cheerleaders certainly helped brighten the evening for those of us who dared to think "same old Bucs".

I guess we really notice the difference when winter comes around and we see all the northern cheerleaders covered up and still freezing, while here in Florida it's business as usual.

So am I right or are your teams cheerleaders going to give these pirates a run for their money?

To me it's no contest but I look forward to the challenge some of you feel obliged to bring on!!

GO BUCS!! I'm ready for some football!

As I watched the game last night I couldn't help but observe how lovely your cheerleaders are... the blondes are equally eye-pleasing. I'll admit that they (Buc's ladies) are finer than our Jags cheerleaders.

Simon - I am also ready for the REAL season to start. Pre-season just doesn't have the same feel to me. As for the cheerleaders, we will have to agree to disagree on that one (I am a Cowboys fan).

Mike - hard hitting game actually, but the beauty of being there is you don't get commercials in the breaks - you get Bucs Cheerleaders!!

Now boys, settle down... Growing up in Pittsburgh - Mr. Rooney would never allow cheerleaders for the Steelers because he felt they distracted from the game - from your comments - he was right! lol I think (someone correct me if I am wrong) but the Steelers (5 time super bowl champs) are the only team without cheerleaders?

Susan - I don't think our cheerleadrs distract our players - perhaps the opposition!!! *lol*

Larry - good idea!! We should start one!! That's about as non PC as you can get! - As for the Colts - great ball team, shame about the cheerleaders!! *lol*

NJ - yep brunettes all the way baby!!! :) And nope - no plastic allowed on the Bucs cheer squad. In fact I am still waiting to hear back from my letter to them offering to check each of the ladies individually, but so far no reply :(

Of course if we go past the NFL, the best squad hands down is Southern Cal!!
