Internet Referrals

By
Real Estate Agent with Bell Realty Group at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices NEP CT #764622

I, as I'm sure many others in the business, was recently contacted by a sales rep wanting me to sign up to their local real estate specialist for consumers who come to their site. While I know that the internet is one of the best sources for consumers and Realtor.com studies show that 75-80% of all consumers looking to buy or sell real estate start on the internet first. So this is definitely a place to be, working the internet for leads.

So has anyone had any contact with www.connect2agent.com site? They offer you 3 cities and a triple guarantee that the leads are consumers seriously searching based on their search terms that drive them to their site.

I have not decided if it is worth the time and money to venture into this world. If anyone has experience good or bad I would love to hear about them.

What is the upfront cost?  That seems to be where they get you!

Katie-The cost was $1100/yr. The sales rep stressed how they are loosing consumers (sounds good) because they don't have a dedicated agent in my area. Sounds too good to be true.

I too have lost money on this type of set-up. Leads never generated into a sale. $1200 down the drain. Be careful

Jamie- If you look up thir site, they have 17 agents servicing the Glastonbury area.  I guess they don't think any of them are "dedicated."  HINT:  If it sounds too good to be true, that's because it is.

The people who make the most money from lead referral sites are the lead aggregators, themselves.

All these pay a fee to get some leads of unknown quality we steer away from. But check out on your own.

Marilyn-I noticed the same thing and they stated these are grandfathered agents from a previous site they took over. They have left the agents pictures up but they all have the same 800# and no profile. The 'dedicated ones' would actually have a profile.

Bob, Linda, Jason, Pippa-I agree and thank you. I was hoping to find someone who might actually have heard from this group.

I too have lost money on these type of sites.  And now there are so many of them, will the internet soon be saturated?

Hello Texas-I am very skeptical but, the testimonials say what I want to hear and seem to have very good success with the program. Yikes is so tough to know whether the the risk is worth taking...
