I became involved in real estate because my husband and father are both in the building industry. The home industry has been a part of my life since I was a young girl. Though my undergrad degree is in Music Education and I spent four years as a public school choral director, I have always loved houses and I have always had an avid interest in the home industry. When I was a little girl I used to take playing cards and lay out floor plans in the playroom to imaginary houses. When I met my husband, I found out that he did the same thing in his backyard with leaves!
It is very important to me to have a job where your success is built on your own efforts. I love to work hard when I know that I am helping people and helping to make a positive difference in people's lives. I was raised in the church and I was involved in scouting from the time I was in the first grade. In church and scouts I learned that honesty, integrity, courtesy, hard work, and responsibility will take you a long way.
Being a real estate agent is a great opportunity for me because I get to learn a lot about the other side of my husband and father's professions everyday. My husband owns his own building company and I often spend time at the houses that he builds. It is fascinating to me to learn all about the structure of a home, how it is built, and why. I think that makes me unique as a Realtor. Most Realtors can tell you if a home 'shows well,' but not many can tell you about a house from the footings to the studs, all the way up to the trusses!
Another reason I love Real Estate is because I get to be a trusted advisor and help people make good decisions about the biggest investment of their lives. Everyday I look forward to a job that will allow me to work hard, help others, learn a lot, see the benefits of my work, and still be flexible enough to spend time with my two little boys.
Choosing me as your real estate agent will provide you with an agent that you can trust to take care of you. I am 100% committed to helping you have a successful experience in real estate transactions, even if it means that I have to refer you to an agent that would be more suited to your needs. I am also 100% committed to my core morals and values and I believe in holding myself to be above reproach. I have always believed the old saying, "Nothing is worth doing unless it is worth doing well." I also believe that nothing is worth doing that is not done with integrity.
