I Ben Outsourced

Between sending work offshore to India and keeping a bunch of dipshit, know-nothing/do-nothing managers who are overpaid, I was laid off after 15+ years with First American.
TO ALL FIRST AMERICAN CASUALTIES
First American is DENYING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS to ALL of its laid-off employees per the Federal Trade Adjustment Assistance Act and Trade Readjustment Acts, which is designed to extend our unemployment benefits for 12-18 months if our jobs are lost due to outsourcing to India and the Phillipines. We all know that if the work stayed here, that most of us would all still be working. First American claims that East Indians don't produce an article known as a Preliminary Title Report, and that they are exempt from the Trade Adjustment Acts.
You need to contact John Patterson at the US Department of Labor in Washington DC as soon as possible as he is investigating this matter on our behalf. His number is " two zero two, six nine three, three five four eight " and he needs to hear from you ! Sorry, this system won't let me post his phone number, but I think I just did ... Also contact your local Employment Development Department to discuss this matter and fight for your rights and your MONEY !
Each Employment Development Department had a specialist designated to the Trade Adjustment Act programs, so do yourself and everyone laidoff or about to be laid off a huge favor and join this fight against these greedy corporate assholes !!!

Dear friend, I know who you are and respect your identity.  I will call you.  I am so sorry to hear this has happened.  I wasn't aware of any of this as I was laid off and immediately picked up by a competitor two days later.  I never had the chance to file for unemployment.  Your comment is worthy of a post in and of itself.  It may just be my next post.  "Corporate Title - Crapping on the little Guy"

I will contact you after the Holidays to see about getting some more details, and to also see if there is anything I or the AR community can do to help. I know you've heard this before, but everything really does happen for a reason, hopefully that reason will present itself in the very near future.  Until then, try to enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday, and know that all things will work out for the better...no matter what!  :-)
