I have noticed, and correct me if I am wrong, that no matter where you go there is a catch phrase in our lines of business that everyone uses - networking. Unfortunately, that's usually as far as it seems to go - a catch phrase. Although I have tried many times to establish a network of contacts whose lines of business would result in mutually beneficial business (and profit) relationships, they don't mature into that. Why?
I am positive that everyone here knows someone who could use the services of someone else we have met on this very blog. I have received "advertisements" from other professionals to which I have inquired only to never hear from again.
I know that we are all busy, but are we using our time in the ways that produce the best results? I propose that those of us who are seriously attempting to get REAL FINANCIAL RESULTS start a Network. Let's learn each other's names and business and talk regularly - even by telephone - and get our businesses moving hard and fast toward the bigger profit margins that true networking will bring.
