A Garden Slideshow! Thanks Roxio!

Earlier today, I did another post on my garden. That post featured the pollinators who make the garden's bounty possible. As you can probably tell from my posts, I really love to take photos of my garden. Photos provide a visual record of the changes that have taken place. From the humble beginnings when there was barely more than dirt and hope to the beauty of tomato plants and wildflowers that tower over me!

I had been noticing Jimmy McCall's use of the slideshow features on his blog lately and thought that would be a fun thing to use for my garden photos! As I use Roxio for most of my multimedia needs already and am quite comfortable with them, I decided to check out Roxio online to see what they might have. As I suspected, I found their slideshow program and went to work creating my garden's highlight reel! I hope you enjoy it! Maybe it will inspire you to make your own!

Thanks for the tour, Roxio!  I'm so glad to see you have bees...I've heard a lot about their demise recently.

Rich,  Great show.  I did not do as much this season as I like to.  But I have a lot of gordes coming up.  Kinda by mistake.

Diane - I have heard a lot about their precarious state and though it may be true for certain species, My garden has a wide variety of bees and wasps! I even saw a bright blue one the other day! I wish I'd had my camera then!

Jimmy - I will be planting cool weather veggies in the next month or so, primarily pumpkins (and other gourds), broccoli, asparagus, spinach, cabbage, and lettuce!

I'm glad there are so many options out there for slide show creation... what better way to show off the awesome garden to those around the world?

Carole - This is the first slideshow I have attempted! I had seen Jimmy McCall's slideshows of his family events and thought I would give it a shot! Glad you liked it...and they are FREE!

Kim - I have really enjoyed the garden all summer. I hope the rest of your day is going great!

Bo - Thanks for the compliment!

Chuck - I like the Roxio one because I am familiar with their platform and it costs nothing. I could have added music for free as well, but I didn't want someone opening it at work when they perhaps aren't supposed to be surfing the net! They of course have additional features if you want to pay, but I like it just as it is! I have seen many realtors use the slideshows. I also added it to my Facebook and MySpace for family and friends to be able to enjoy it.

Rich,  It has been fun watching your garden grow this summer,  thank you for sharing! I grow raspberries and only ate one or two this year!  Maybe next year I will get a little more inspired :)

JoLynn - I have blackberries on my property. My niece and her boyfriend picked them and made a wonderful cobbler! We also froze a bunch to have this winter! I am glad you have enjoyed my garden!

Debbie - Roxio is the first (and only) media program I have used for about 7 or 8 years now. I have become very accustomed to it! I can't wait for the fresh eggs.

Max - As I live in Tennessee, please insert bad Elvis impersonation HERE, "Why thank you, thank you very much." LOL! The garden has been a labor of love, I labor and it loves me with fresh organic veggies.
