Buying A Home in Hoover Alabama - Golf Course View Anyone

The other day, I was talking with a person who is Moving to the Birmingham Alabama area from out of town.  The topic of golf came up and they were amazed at what Birmingham had to offer. Did you know that there are over 40 golf courses in and around Birmingham?  Some are public, including the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley and others are private.  To get a shapshot of the courses available click here.

When I was growing up in Massachusetts, my Dad, who loved to play golf, used to play with orange golf balls several months out of the years because there was snow on the ground and it was hard to find that little white ball in the snow. The weather here, though, is perfect for golf most of the year. If you like to golf, I'd say you could plan to play everyday.  Yesterday it was raining (hurricane Fay is dumping rain still) and I saw folks out on the course at Inverness when I was driving by!

Hoover, Alabama is rich with golf courses.  There is the famous Ross Bridge Resort (also a Robert Trent Jones Course) which hosts the Regions Charity Classic Champions Tour every May.  Also, there are 7 private courses all tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills of this wonderful city.

If you would like to live on a golf course, there are several opportunities available. All the Hoover courses are surrounded by neighborhoods.  Many homes have a lake and golf course view.  Would you like to sit on your porch and see a view like one at the left at the end of a long day? If you would like to explore this type of livestyle - where your views are a finely manicured lawn and golf is a daily occurrence, let me know.  I can help you find the home of your dreams - contact me at www.ToniBird.com.

www.dpagroundswell.org is a website I found that allows you to write to your elected officials via email to support DPA reform.  It offers a lot of facts about down payment assistance and how it's helped thousands of buyers.
