Referral Networking with BNI and SendOutCards

By
Industry Observer

Last week I was at a SendOutCard convention in Salt Lake City and I had the honor of talking with Ivan Misner, the founder of BNI (Business Networking International).  Ivan is one of the leading experts on networking.  He said in his keynote speech to the attendees that one of the best ways to follow up with people you've met at networking events is to send a personal handwritten note.  He said his problem is he has terrible handwriting and just doesn't like the process of sitting down to write notes.  He has become an avid user of SendOutCards.com

With SendOutCards you can go online and select from over 12,000 preprinted greeting cards.  Type your message into the web-based computer program and SendOutCards will print  (in your own handwriting, and with your own signatures), stuff, stamp and mail for as little as 62 cents plus postage.  A postcard is a little as 31 cents.

Sending a personal, handwritten note is the most powerful way to follow up with someone you've met.  It's also a great way to strengthen your relationships with existing clients or customers.  Unlike email, everyone enjoys receiving a thoughful greeting card.  They get opened and read.

Using BNI and SendOutCards is the perfect combination for effective networking.

I agree and I love the possibilities of network with other agents on Active Rain to pick up referral business since so many of our customers are on the move. Oh by the way if you ever need anything in Florida you now know who to contact.

Ralph,

I'm not strong on the networking. I'm more of an introvert.

Send Out Cards has been a savior for me. I can prepare a thank you in the comfort of my home at midnight. I don't have to run to the store to pick out a card.

And, if there is a card in the SOC catalog that I like, but I don't like the words attached to it, I can change it to something I do like.
