It's been exactly 2 months since I got by real estate license. Things have not gone as I had planned, but the the kids are now in school and it is time to get going for real.
The 3 listings I thought I had are all on hold for the time being. I have a buyer client but they are looking for something very specific and are not in a hurry. While this is frustrating, several things happened in the last 4 weeks that would have made it difficult to work anyways.
My 5 year old started kindergarten and my 8 year old went on to third grade at Pleasant Hill Elementary School in Lexington, SC. They are both thrilled to be in school and loving every minute of it. And they are not the only ones - I love it too. Last Friday I moved into a cubicle in the same room as my mentor - David Patterson - a the Keller Williams office in Columbia, SC. Every morning I after I drop the kids off, I go to the office and work. Yesterday I was able to make a good list of everything I need to get done and brainstorm. Today I had a great work session with David and Joani Smith to help me get a pre-listing packet together. I will get it finished tomorrow.
I have also started reaching out to my Sphere of Influence. I sent letters to everyone in July, but now I am planning lunch dates with several key people that can help me. (Plus it makes me very happy to get out in the world) My database is in really good shape and all set-up in Top Producer. I have worked on are my blog (www.thinklexingtonsc.com) about life and real estate in Lexington, SC.
So after being AWOL for several weeks, I am back and will be back often letting you know what this new agent is up to.
:) Kiri
