How things are changing

I am in MA. We are seeing more and more mortgage people leave the business. We are seeing the same on the realestate end of the world. We are seeing offices close and licenses not being renewed. I have taken the time to converse with the veterans of the business. Many that have been in the industry since the mid to late 70's. So I ask many of them what they think about todays market. The answer is simple many are stating that we will loose more on both the mortgage and realestate sides of the business. This will bring more options for the people that stay in the business. I must say that I a meeting personaly with many many more first time buyers then I did for the first 7 months of the year.

This is a great time to let the world know that you plan on being in the business for the long run. That you are ready to work. That your ready to help other businesses grow there businesses.

Today I had a new prospect in the office. I educated him on the mortgage process. Then we spoke about the market. We then went on realtor.com and started to look at homes in Worcester MA. The reason we did this was to start with a baseline on price and what he could get for the price. I was shocked we called 7 different realtors and we only reached one live and only one other has called back as of 8pm tonight. This shocks me greatly. I would think that people would be hungry to work for the clients that they have listed for. In this town there are 167 single family homes under 175k in this town that we made the 7 calls on. Again I question how many of those realtors are partime or just not interested in the business to the leve that they should be.

I share this with you to show us all tat we can make a differnce. That some of the quality in the industry is low and not focused on client satisfaction and results. Again please do not take this as negative but instead a reminder that the competition has reduced and much of the competition that is stil around is very very week.

Go win the week and have some fun. I hope this is a help.

I feel the same way you do. I am in washington and I am seeing the same market. I am in it for the long haul. I compare this market to buying Microsoft on the first day it was offered, and hanging on to it. We will be successful and I can't wait till this hard work pays those high dividens.
