When families visit the Cary area they often ask which schools are the least crowded. That is a loaded question. As a former Wake County teacher, I want to be positive toward our schools. We are ranked as #20 in size across the country yet our biggest problem is growth. Think about that, it's not truancy, drugs, teen pregnancy, gangs, etc. Wake County greeted 4200 new students this year! They are looking to developers for more cost effective acquistion and site development fund donations. This is exactly what happened to provide the site for the new Mill Park Elementary near the Cary Park neighborhood. This is a 3 story building plan, a little diffrent for an elementary school, housing 700 students.
