Successful networking requires getting out and connecting with people. If you're wondering where to begin, here's my list of the top 25 places.

 1) BNI

2) LeTip

3) Professional Women's Network

4) eWomen' s Network

 5) Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks, Moose, Lions Clubs

 6) Toastmasters

 7) Chamber of Commerce

 8) Church

 9) Hobby Clubs (such as scrapbooking or chess)

 10) Volunteer Organizations

 11) Charitable organizations

 12) Yard sales

 13) Local business or trade fairs

 14) Health Clubs and Gyms

 15) City and County Council Meetings

 16) Local real estate assocations (although you may find yourself networking with people looking for the same business connections you are)

 17) Children' s school and sporting events

 18) Birthday parties for your children and their friends

 19) Trade shows

 20) Farmer' s markets

 21) Community events, such as car shows and arts festivals

 22) Community college seminars and workshops

 23) Standing in line at the grocery store, bank or post office

 24) Lobbies of hotels where local conventions are being held

 25) Coffee shops, bookstores, etc.

Great list!!  Any event where children and their families come together - cub scouts, boy scouts, PTA, daycare, swimming lessons.  Also, neighborhood association meetings, hoa meetings.  Take self help classes.  There are so many.
