What is a rambler? It looks like a ranch style home - one that is single story.

I think Rambler = Ranch Style.
Nice looking home though!

Maybe Toby will give us an answer. Isn't it something how building or home styles can have different names from area to area.

a rambler is just a one story home.
It is amazing how names vary from region to region. Its like the different accents around the US.

I agree with you Toby - it is amazing to know how names differ from region to region - it would be really great if one day there was standard terminology.

A ranch up here is a home with some acreage and a great example would be a cluster community built around equestrian enthusiasts. A villa, hmmm, not sure what that would be up here though...haven't heard it used, I'll ask our broker about that one.

Did you get an answer from your Broker? Here a ranch is a type of property as well as a building style. I think it is rather confusing. :)
