Where do most of your Inspections come from?

Home Inspector with Cartier Fine Home Inspections, LLC

In our area, here on the Alabama Gulf Coast, we are diversified in our inspections. New construction is everywhere. We are one of the top two counties in Alabama as far as growth. We are able to do new construction, New to you homes, Rental Investments, Condos and Townhouses.

I feel for the Realtors with so many properties on the market. What kinds of property do you inspect the most and what area of the country do you live.

I'm also in a very high growth area, up in the  Nashville suburb of Spring Hill, TN.  Year to date Spring Hill has issued over 2000 building permits and they expect to more than double that by the end of the year.  New home inspections are a very large part on my work load.

As the greater Nashville area has not really been impacted by any slowdowns like other parts of the country, the amount of new construction around the area is staggering.  With this come Home Warranty Inspections.  As new homes reach their 1 year Birthday, the home owners have a warranty inspection.  This inspection is designed so the the homeowner can let the builder know what needs to be corrected before the 1 year warranty is up on their new home.

I work in the rural east Texas area and things keep moving along without much of bump out here.  One of the counties I service is still expanding more than most in the nation.  I get much of my work from the internet and personal recommendations.  I do not solicit Realtors, and work only for my Clients.

John,

I am with you, I get most of my work from the Internet also. I will not turn down work from a realtor, but I do let them know right up front that I work for my client.

I work Long Island. The market has picked up tremendously since the beginning of the year, very busy. Most work comes from referrals and Internet.

I get referrals from Agents in my area, most of my clients now days are from my past clients though. I have weeded out many BAD agents over time and will NOT work with them, "Please go easy on this home, I NEED the sale" an Agent that say those words to me are asked, no told Please NEVER refer me again. I work for the Home Buyer, for their best interest.
