Hold Off Changing the Recipe!

Heinz ketchup has used the exact same ingredients and recipe since 1869. Why?

Because it works! There are times that all of us feel a natural inclination to change

things a bit...to make it our own. Just keep in mind that the secret for success

is to focus your time, energy, and resources on the EXECUTION of

the program, not repackaging, revising, and recreating the program itself. It works,

just as it is. The good news is that the programs is not a campaign built on theory. It's a

combination of field- tested strategies that have consistently and predictably yielded a return for hundreds

of real estate and mortgage professionals for years.

Our recommendation is to follow the Imitate, Assimilate, and then Innovate model. First imitate , and

do precisely what the program dictates. Then, when you have assimilated the entire system, you can

think about innovation - in most cases, you won't need or want to. Making slight adjustments to your

programs for your specific marketplace is encouraged and naturally occurs over time. Just

remember that the most successful programs spend 95 percent of their time implementing and five

percent of their time making slight adjustments. Most members who fail to see results pay more

attention to changing the recipe than to following the prescribed instructions from start to finish.

Why even think about adding peanut butter to your lasagna?

Pablo, As always a very wise post. I love the ketchup reference and was unaware that is the same recipe. I tweak rather than change my business...

Don't even get me started on Heinz...however, I get your point.
