A CHANCE FOR KIDS - CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT -- at BIG SKY GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

By

If you are planning to be in the Pemberton area on May 12th 2007, you might want to consider a fun filled day of golf, dinner, and auction.

I am on the organizing committee of the Non Profit Society called A CHANCE FOR KIDS, and we have been raising money and giving it back to the community by way of grants to very talented young athletes from within the Sea to Sky Corridor.

To date, we have provided $30,000 in funding to 6 different young athletes, and we are sure that we will see some of this local talent competing in upcoming Olympics and World Class events.

The entry fee is $135 (all in - including tax) and that gives you a full day of fun and frivolity.  The format for the golf tournament is a SHAMBLE.  Lunch and Dinner are included -- as is a Golf Cart. And then after the golf there is a great time of draw prizes and auction items.

My first comment didn't post...but I think that a golf tournament to raise money for kids is about the best thing in the world.  Add in lunch, dinner and a golf cart and that makes a wonderful day.  I wish I were somewhere remotely close to your area, because I would be there.  I hope it goes really well!  I was thinking just today that there should be an annual "AR Charity Golf Tournament" to rasie money for Easter Seals or Salvation Army or some charity that gives back to the community.  We Realtors should be known for giving back to the communities that we are a part of.

I vote for the location to be California! =o)
