Get rid of the Clutter. Keep house clean and tidy.
Turn on all lights for every showing. Candles are not recommended.
Let the sunshine in! Open all drapes and blinds.
Buyers buy on their emotion- They must be able to visualize themselves and their belonging in the home. Remove any family pictures from the walls and tables and most importantly remove yourself during the showings. It is also hard for the buyer to "picture themselves" living in the home when the sellers are present.
Remove pets from the house before showings. And if at all possible remove pet odors!
