Down Payment Assistance (DPA) almost GONE!

By
Mortgage and Lending with Tanis Group Realty

Well, it's been trying times recently with the DPA being eliminated. There are many lenders making the cutoff times earlier because of their investors. It seems that buyers thought October 1 is enough time to still squeeze in a buy, NOT SO! I have Realtors scrambling to find a home and me looking for lenders to put them in a home. Im glad i have no hair because this is definately stressful. Well i feel better getting this off my chest. Good Luck and Happy Blogging!

It doesn't have to be! Almost gone that is! There is a new proposal to add the program back to our loan program arsenal. Visit this blog for more info: Speak NOW. If DPA is important to your busisness, take upon yourself to speak up. This blog can be re-blogged - anything to get the word out before it really is gone!  Ruthie V...

The Nehemiah Program seems to be spear heading the charge to save the downpayment program, they have a link on their website that anyone can use to contact their congressional leaders to show their support.  www.dpagroundswell.org  People seem to think that it's just the Nehemiah Program that is going away, I beleive that it is  the entire Down Payment Program overall.  It is eye opening and I am really interested on what is the great plan that HUD has to save the market.  Oh, that would be to increase the downpayment requirement from 3% to 3.5%. That will definitely help!!! those
