Blogging or Bogging Down?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Resdiential

Is there a proper etiquette to Blogging on ActiveRain with regard to length of the Blog? I'm new to Blogging and could use a few pointers; perhaps some guidelines are available or any comments that might be helpful.

Also, is there a way to have your Blog show up as a Featured Blog to receive more exposure? I have posted a Blog but perhaps it was too long or no one found it as it was not showing on the Featured Blogs page, and there have been no comments on what I feel is a relevant and timely subject.

One more immediate question: is it considered acceptable to include your own contact information and website in the signature section?

Thanks,
Steven Pearson

Steve, I don't have the answers to your first two questions, but by all means put your contact information on your own blogs.  (You just don't want to do that in the comment sections of another persons blog)

I try not to make my blog posts too long.  If they get too long, I think a lot of people don't want to take the time to read them.

Thanks Kris, I appreciate that. And Rob, you could be right about that, as my first blog was quite long.

When you think blog length, think email length [maybe a little longer] but, like you everyone is hammering through data what seems like 24/7 =0)

I thank you all for the great comments. Chris, I think you're reference about email length is spot on.
