Shift

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Metro South

Gary Keller has done it again! His new book, SHIFT, How Top Real Estate Agents Tackle Tough Times should be available soon in the major book stores. However, those of us who attended Mega Agent Camp in Austin, TX this week were able to purchase copies of the book! I have been reading it, and it is fabulous! I can't put it down! Gary Keller is a true visionary. The book is validating what I have believed since Gary warned all the KW agents about the coming shift in the market. It is not the market that is going to determine our success or failure during this time, it is what we do!

No matter where you are in North America, if you have a vision and a desire to succeed in real estate, this book is for you!

Linda:  I will be looking for Gary's latest book.  It will be quite interesting seeing what he has up his sleeve this time.  Thanks for sharing... I hope Austin went well for you.

Hi Linda,

I'm not familiar with Gary Keller's ideas. Could you share a few of the fundamental ideas?

Linda, I'll try to answer your question without writing a book. Gary Keller built Keller Williams Realty around the agents, not the company. When Gary started his company in the '80's, he asked the agents what he could do to make sure that once someone came to Keller Williams they would never want to leave. The first Agent Leadership Council was born and the basis of Keller Williams as we know it today was set in motion. So the rules were and still are made by the agents in the company. Gary also wrote what we at Keller Williams refer to as "The Red Book", "The MREA". It is entitled the Millionaire Real Estate Agent. This book is the model for Keller Williams. It is a great read and can be found on Amazon as well as in Barnes & Noble, etc. If you will get this book, you will understand what Gary Keller's ideas are. If you do get the book, please let me know what you thought of it. If you run your real estate career by this book, you will succeed.

Karen, Austin was fabulous! It is a great town with wonderful restaurants and an historic downtown as I am sure you know. But the tools we learned at Mega Camp to enhance our business and deliver more to our clients and broaden our base of business was second to none! This was my third year at Mega Camp. I go every year! You don't have to be a Keller Williams agent to attend either. That is the great thing about KW. They share the training. I am assuming you have read Millionaire Real Estate Agent?
