Well, since this is "Labor Day" weekend, I thought that I would just say a few words that apply to everyone, NOT just residents of the West San Gabriel Valley.
Anyway as you prepare for your long Labor Day weekend, I know many of you will be on the road traveling to see friends, family or taking in one last vacation before the summer ends (this Labor Day weekend is considered by many to be the last days of summer and is a big cookout day), even if gas prices are higher than normal (just get use to this, the rest of the world has!). AAA projects that over 34 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Labor Day holiday weekend.
Whether you're making a summer get-away or just running errands around town, I encourage you to buckle up and drive safely.
Safe Driving Tips...
- Allow extra travel time and be patient
- Observe speed limits, including lower speeds in work zones
- Avoid distractions
- Maintain a safe following distance, the faster you are going, the more distance you should leave
So please be careful when driving this holiday weekend!
