Blues and Greens should never be seen...

except in the washing machine!

Anyone remember that old saying?  Along the same lines of Pink and Red never working together.  It's funny how "rules" change.  How Home Decor is constantly evolving.

Here is a simple family room, with before and after pictures, using blue and green accents with a touch of red. Simply removing the middle piece of the sectional, moving the toys to a designated play area, opening the curtains and bringing in a few accessories from other rooms in the house - really opened up this room and made it a lot brighter and warmer.

Alyse: I have removed pieces of sectionals for the similar results. It's actually amazing. The trick is to get the the homeowner to give up the long expanse for lounging that is created by the corner piece.  I interpret the client's willingness to do that with their level of motivation to sell.  Nice post.

I am not one to follow the rules! If the greens and blues look good together, then throw the old saying out the window!

Oh my gosh, Alyse, if I followed that saying, I would never be seen. LOL! One of my absolute favorite color combinations in clothing or interiors is blue and green with a little brown thrown in.

As others have said, nice work in opening up that room and making a big difference.

Cheers,

Veronica

Nice!

I'm thinking that mauve & blue are definitely still out -right?  I had a whole house in  shades of pink and blue-I wonder what era that was from?
