Good Morning!  I am looking out my office window to a beautiful sunny 15 degree day!  I hope that your day looks as promising as mine! 

Today is the first day of the Annual "Home Show".  Many businesses will be setting up for the thousands of people who are looking to build, buy, or outfit their home in the coming months.  Spring has become the earmark that initiates building activity here in Fairbanks.  People are ready to buy and sell real estate after a long, dark winter. 

The activity on the MLS has been increasing on a daily basis.  Inventory appears to be lower than last year by 45% so we are in need of listings.  However, the number of sales has increased 100%.  The average sales price in each area of our town is a mix.  Some showing an increase others a decrease.  The area with the highest overall, is Rural Fairbanks with a 73% increase over homes sold last year!  So what does this information tell us?  Buyers are buying and sellers are cashing in on their equity!  Not a bad deal!
