Many of the key speakers to include President Bush and John McCain most likely will not attend their party's convention.
Personally, I think that the Republicans would be wise to postpone the convention, but I know that this is almost an impossible thing to do at this point - logistically speaking.
I believe it a wise choice by the President and by the Republican candidate not to attend, but rather to be in a position in which to assist those that will need help in the Gulf Coast area. This is a tough storm and I hope and pray that it takes a turn toward a less populated area than New Orleans.
Not much talk of Hanna at this point, but she is right on the heels of Gustav. I pray she turns west and out into the ocean.
God be with all those families who are in this storm's path.
