Since we definitely don't have enough browser choices, now comes CHROME, a new browser available beginning tomorrow from Google.
More battles between Google and Microsoft, the browser will be packed with security, speed and stability features to rival Microsoft’s long-standing dominant browser, Internet Explorer.
It's open source (like Firefox). Being open source, Chrome combines technology from Apple’s WebKit and Mozilla Firefox. Like Firefox and Internet Explorer 8, each tab within Chrome acts as a separate entity. Running their own individual processes, each tab can be closed separately and is ‘sandboxed’, meaning that information on the user’s computer is protected. A unique feature is that each tab has it’s own controls so that you can click, drag and tear it away to be a new window. Designed to be better for displaying rich interactive web pages with smoother drag and drop actions within websites. With stronger Javascript technology, complex with pages will be displayed more efficiently and the browser should be able to continue working with unchanged performance all day. The URL entry field, where you type website addresses into, is called ‘Omnibox’ and feeds suggestions based on your browsing history and Google Suggest technology Competition is a good thing... so we'll see!
