Color 911 Update...What a difference!

By
Home Stager with Cincinnati Home Stager

The beginning of the week I put out the 911 help signal as I was having some difficulty working with a patterned peach and taupe sofa and loveseat. You can read it here: I've got a COLOR 911....Any suggestions?  Thanks to all for their help...you guys are the best!  This particular house just had an Exterior transformation of repainting the purple shutters to a nice selling shade of burgundy and I wanted to capture that color as potential buyers first walked in.  The living and dining room are the first rooms you see from the entry....and I really tried to play the red up. I went with slipcovers on the sofa and loveseat in order to even be able to do this.  Of course, I LOVE red...you see it alot in my staging work. I also used Phyllis Parfumi's trick of the 28 inch rods with panels in the dining room....it made a big difference and it was easy and didn't take much time to put them up.  You can read about the curtain trick here: This one's for you Maureen!

Here are the results:

Great job!  I think you made excellent decisions - the slipcovers realy were the way to go.  You didn't even need paint!

Teresa it looks great!  I think credit for the rods needs to go to Phyllis Pafumi though.  She shared some great pics of a room and used the panels that way.

Teresa -  I love this one!!!  My favorite staging transformations are the really low cost ones.  Slip covering the sofa made a big difference and moving the ottoman from the chair to use it as a coffee table worked great.  Subtle changes really make a big difference.  I also love Phyllis's curtain idea.  Keep the pics coming.

Beautiful!  So clean and classy!  Great job!  I love RED for accents too!  One of my favorites!  It all pulled together nicely.

Hi Teri,
Just click on the "This ones for you Maureen" linked into my blog there....You'll see Phyllis' pictures of the curtains and scroll through the comments and you'll see where I ask her about them.  It was so easy to do too. :)
