I just got done reading an article about how to not get taken by your Realtor. The underlying theme was "since the market is so bad, Realtors will jump through hoops to get your business, so haggle them down to nothing on the commission - they should feel lucky to get what little you throw at them".
I just wanted to give a shout out to all my Realtor friends. I know you guys work hard and invest your time and money to help people sell their homes, and you should be well compensated for it. It's frustrating to see that people actually write that kind stuff.
As far as I'm concerned, if I'm selling in a buyer's market, I'm going to kick in a little extra to be used toward the butt-kickinest marketing plan available. It's hardly the time to be cutting back, my home would be the very most noticeable one in town!
I wish you guys well in this slow market.
