As my AR odometer nudges over the 190,000 point mark - watching the Space Shuttle picture perfect touchdown from last December (see link above) is a reminder of the responsibility that goes with "altitude".
Landing safely is the most critical and most difficult piece of the mission.
Sort of like leading a real estate transaction to a smooth closing.
Vastly different skill sets are required.
Vastly different levels of importance to the public at large attach to them.
For the pilot of the Space Shuttle - lives are at stake.
