Internet Marketing, lower overhead and reduced comissions

By
Real Estate Agent with www.WEBMLS.net

The internet, Cell Phones, and fax machines have transformed the Real Estate Industry.  Working from a home office instead of renting an office makes common sense!  Multiple pictures and Virtual tours have cut the amount of houses we show by 75%!  We only tour the top 10 homes that our clients have put on their top ten list.  Even our Gas and mileage are cut in half thanks to technology! Lowering the overhead of our business helps us to allocate our savings to our children's education, our self marketing, our retirement fund, and even allows us to pass the savings on to our clients through offering competitive commission strategies.

What are your thoughts????

Most of my expenses are centered on the internet.  It's how I get buyers, how I make my sellers happy and how I communicate.  Definately a new world out there!  I still work from an office for the busy season though.  Too much happens that you need to be there for!

Oh so true. I'm with Chris and spend most of my advertising budget on internet-related expenses. That in combination with word-of-mouth and face-to-face marketing keep me from ever having to pay for overpriced newspaper ads & other traditional advertising mediums.

While I like the internet and all of the advances we have made because of it, I still like the good old hands-on approach too.  I blend both.

Thanks to AR I have cut my marketing budget in half. All the great web sites that are for free that other members have shared are invaluable.
