Business card idea!

I have a new business card idea that people love. I have my logo imprinted on custom made poker chips!

When I meet clients, I give them one. They end up being around .50 cents each, so I am careful with how many I hand out!

What a great conversation starter! They truly help in getting people to open up. If they like casinos and gambling, even better. If they are not fans of poker or gambling, I quickly mention that they are business cards that can go through the wash and survive the process!

I always get a great response from them, and they are well worth the expense. I used them in a cool pop by gift this summer as well.

It was a small round aquarium (like you would see a beta fish living in) with an open top. They were glass, and I filled them 1/2 full of sand. I put some shells on the top of the sand, and then placed a "sign" (Popsicle stick with hot glued business card on one side and a personal message on the other. Also included in the "fish bowl" was a small tube of sunscreen. The personal message then said "Don't get burned by using the wrong Realtor!

Man, were they a hit. Cost me about $2 each for everything. Had the fmaily help me assemble them and gave them out to my best source of referrals!

Now that summer is gone, I guess I need a new pop by idea. Any ideas for a great fall pop-by?

Some years ago I had a printer/ad specialty company create a round wooden disk about the size of a half dollar. One one side was my business info and on the other it said "Round Tuit".

As it the statement, "I will buy when I get around to it"

Jim - Sorry - I didn't give you an idea.  In all honesty?  Microwave popcorn does wonders for me at this time of year.  You can get a huge quanity at Sam's, BJs, Costcos.  Get the large mailing labels and print out your logo, info and saying, "Things are popping at ABC Realty" and leave them in offices, give them out at Open Houses and stick them in trick or treater bags at Halloween.

Love the idea.  I wonder if you could put a magnet on the back???

Funny you ask. I thought about hot gluing some magnets on the back for folks.

The nice thing about the business card "chip" is that others are much less likely to throw them away....

I hope!

I do that too!  Being from LV it's a great marketing tool.  I give them out a lot at conventions and out of town classes.

Again, great idea.  How about "Don't gamble and try to sell your home by yourself!"

Casino chips wouldn't work in my market, but I think in the right market it would be a great hit! Cool idea!

On the aquariam idea you could put in an umbrella and a travel size sunscreen on top of the sand with a business card or square "postcard" with info on the side.
