42nd Annual Maple Leaf Festival
This is one of the most fun times of the year to be able to attend the Maple Leaf Festival. Be sure to watch for pictures and information regarding the festival for those who won't be able to attend, but love old time festivals. As it begins I will be posting pictures and event happenings and findings - see the fun right from your own computer.
Here is the schedule of events:
Dates: Saturday, October 11 - Saturday, October 18
Description: This week-long celebration features a variety of events ranging from the Annual Queen Pageant to the Three Minutes of Fame Lip-Sync Competition. The festival finale on Saturday the 18th begins with the Largest Parade in Southwest Missouri at 9:00AM followed by a variety of special events centered around more than 80 craft booths and food vendors set-up on the historic Carthage square. Kids Maple Leaf Dog Show

Description: Kids must be 13 and under to register a dog. Dogs must be 60 lbs. or under
to be qualified for contest. Judges will vote on longest tail, smallest paws, best costume
and best tricks.
