ALLANDALE HISTORY
The land (3154 acres) that is now Allandale was given to George W. Davis in 1841 by Mirabeau Lamar, President of the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, for services in the BATTLE at SAN JACINTO.
Most of the land has been sold off. Some homes date back to the 1930's which at that time was considered a suburb and outside the city limits. Most of the major development started in the mid 1950's, growing to what is now this thriving community.
