California Notary changes for 2009 AB 2452 has been published. An employee ID card issued by an agency or office of California, or any city and county in California has been added to the list of acceptable ID. Since I reside in Sacramento this is an excellent addition.
Requirements for Subscribing Witness will also change in 2009. This change will require Subscribing Witness to be indentified by one Credible Witness who presents a state approved ID as identification. My comfort level has increased.
AB 2452 did not address an increase in notary fees. I guess based upon the economy this is probably good decision.
